Ken Peterson was elected to the Goochland County Board of Supervisors, serving as Chairman in 2013. While on the Goochland board, Mr. Peterson spearheaded several initiatives designed to address the myriad of financial woes facing the county . He headed a debt restructuring group formed to refinance the county’s service district debt, which saved the county millions of dollars and rendered looming tax increases unnecessary. He chaired the Audit Committee, receiving clean audit reports, after previous audits had revealed dozens of material findings. And, he headed a credit rating group which earned the coveted AAA rating for the County for the first time. In 2015, Ken was re-elected without opposition to the Goochland County Board of Supervisors.
